On this week's cruise chat Kathleen from Plenty of Sunshine Travel met with Ernie from G adventures.  We did a brand overview and took a look how G adventures makes a difference in the lives of the people from the areas they visit.

G Adventures is the type of business I love. They really make a positive impact on the local communities that you will visit with them. They are called a force for change. You will not be able to purchase items that are mass-produced or where you are supporting the large companies. You will be supporting local tribes, local artisans and support local communities. As well as supporting local small business owners.

If you choose a land tour (With no Single Suppliment) you will not stay at chain hotel, you will stay with local families and in the local communities. They measure their community impact by something called a "Ripple Score"

The other thing I wanted to focus on is their charity. This charity is called Planeterra and they have teamed up with The Sisterhood of Survivors.  I can not speak about this charity without a huge smile on my face. Seriously! They help and free woman who were a part of the sex-trade industry and give them a new life. This charity trains these woman to be paralegals empowering them to not only find justice for themselves but for others as well. I find this amazing!

G Adventures has very unique names for their tour guides - They are called CEO's which stands for Chief Experience Officer. These CEO's are local guides who know the area well who will make it their mission to bring you the best experience you can possibly have.

G adventures has itineraries in the Galapagoes Islands. In fact, they have designed and will be launching a new ship there in spring of 2022.  G Adventures really works hard to make the lands and oceans they visit a better place wehnt hey left than when they arrived.
