What does Yoga mean to you?
Why do people do yoga? What is the significance of the practice?
When you think of Yoga do you get the image of a mystical mountain sage sitting in lotus position at the mouth of a cave high in the Himalayas?
Do you think of a studio space full of women in yoga pants performing a series of stretches?
Do you see it as some weird cult like religion with a sleazy man claiming to be an all knowing "Guru"?
Are you biased toward one yoga over another? Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kundalini?
Or even, goat yoga, wine yoga, aqua yoga?
In this Episode of Boing, we explore a deeper understanding of Yoga, as a science and as a lifestyle. Our backgrounds are in traditional yoga, based on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras dating back to somewhere around 250 BC. We both found yoga in different ways but were drawn to the wisdom and awareness that it has opened in our lives. This is one of our favorite topics we could talk for hours about it, hence the reason it says Part 1 in the title. Join us in an amazing conversation about what yoga means to us, how we started our practices, how it has benefited our lives, and so much more. Namaste!
