The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been the talk of the town since the start of 2020 but this week we've seen the cancellation of notable leagues and events in esports. Overwatch League & Call of Duty League has suspended events, Flashpoint will take place without a live studio audience, ESL Pro League will kick off season 11 online, Leauge of Legends continues to work around the issues and the list goes on and on. Major sporting events around the country have suspended play for the foreseeable future as well. It's clear this is a problem worth talking about and this week I'm joined by ESPN's Emily Rand who inadvertently became a resource for ESPN on the coronavirus due to her covering the LPL in China at the genesis of all this. I chatted with her about her journey and how the world of esports is in a unique position to work around this global pandemic. All this and more in That Esports Podcast!
