This week’s episode of the Fearless Mindset Podcast is the last part of the feature with Haisam Farran, retired marine, survivor of a Yemeni prison, and author of The Tightening Dark. He shares the latter part of his captivity and his eventual release, his freedom brokered by the Sultan of Oman. He recalls the sense of relief but also uncertainty as his freedom was not secure until he was surely out and away from the grips of his captors.

Sam tells the story of his return to America and how he had his credit limit drop because of missed payments, just one anecdote of the ridiculous way war heroes are treated. He also muses on the politics of the region and how not everything is as it seems, such as the Iranian efforts to curb Al Qaeda and the possible American blessing this had.
