Thomas became the first trans person to hit the Best Sellers list with a fictional book about a trans character in 2020 with their novel Cemetery Boys. Cemetery Boys follows a young, gay, Latinx, trans man named Yadriel as he accidentally summons a ghost named Julian who just so happens to be gay...and very, very cute. In this interview Thomas discusses the power of trans representation that embraces the multiplicity of who people are, while creating space for self-acceptance.
