The process of tapping trees and turning sap into syrup is a time-honored tradition here in Wisconsin.  It’s another sign that spring is on its way and collecting sap is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy those early warm spring days.  But have you ever been curious on the process of going from sap to syrup?  And have you ever wanted to try and make your own?

Today I’m talking with Theresa Baroun, the executive direction of the Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association and we go over the overall impact the Maple Syrup industry has on Wisconsin, the process of making this sweet treat and how you can get started in making your own maple syrup from trees right in your backyard.
