One of the things that really attracts me to the outdoors is the quiet. On this episode I'm going to be talking about a quieter approach to spending time in the outdoors. Silent sports are a great way to truly connect to the outdoors. It gets you away from the every day noise of life. It immerses you fully into your environment allowing you to see, hear and enjoy everything around you.

Wisconsin has one of the best park systems in the state. When most people talk about Wisconsin parks, they usually mean one of our state parks. And why wouldn’t they? Wisconsin state parks offer so much to each visitor. And each park offers something different. You really get a taste of the different areas and regions of the state with the different terrains and trials at each park. And with over 40 state parks spread throughout Wisconsin, you definitely get a chance to feel what it’s like to experience Wisconsin.

But did you know that Wisconsin’s county park system offers a great alternative to the larger state parks. There are a lot of advantages to these smaller parks and on this week's podcast I go through some of the things that I enjoy about our county parks.

Our family has taken numerous trips to Big Eau Pleine Park for a couple of reasons. The first that it’s fairly close to home and is located a few miles west of Mosinee. But the main reason is how much diversity this park has to offer.  On this episode, I talk about the numerous activities that this county park has to offer.
