Episode 79 – Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland

This week’s request came to us via one of our wives who has been asking for us to do this movie since we started! Thanks Joy! Little Nemo is arguably one of our oldest franchises we’ve covered. Harkening back to the turn of the last century, Nemo started as a comic strip funded by WIlliam Randolph Hearst. What was once a wildly popular comic strip became one of the very first animated shorts ever made. But Nemo had long since fallen out of favor by the time this movie was made. Many huge names were attached to this film at one point or another including Ray Bradbury, George Lucas, and Hayao Miyazaki. Even more interesting, is the film had a VERY limited North American film release. But why? I guess you’ll have to listen and find out!
