Hello everyone and welcome to episode #8, it's a pleasure to have you on board! If you're a new listener, then welcome to Liner Notes! In short, this is a podcast that features conversations with amazing new artists and I'll soon be branching out into having guests that work behind the scenes as well; such as people from record labels, composers and engineers etc.
This week's guest is Aiden Hatfield. Something of a jack of all trades, Aiden is a musician, business owner and mental health ambassador. He will be releasing the first single called 'This Is Never Ending' from his debut solo EP in January this year, with the full EP to follow in March. During the conversation, we talk about his songwriting process and how openly suffering with depression has influenced his lyrics. We also talk about his clothing brand, called In Music We Trust, and how that is designed to both raise awareness of and raise money for people that suffer from mental health issues; namely by donating 50% of the profits to the Mind Charity. Please note that this conversation was recorded in December 2018, any references to "next year" refer to this year (2019).
