I first met Jessie while serving a religious mission in Portugal and we have been friends ever since. She has such a unique background and has so much to add to this world. We talk about a wide range of things during this episode including her educational background, how we see women in media and how that affects us, her process of deconstructing heteronormative identity within the LDS church, and some of what she teaches in communications as a PhD student.
