Diagnosing dyslexia consists of taking a detailed history of child issues with language, developmental issues, prematurity, and head trauma, especially on the left side of the brain. It also requires a family history of members with language, reading, and/or writing struggles or avoidance. We will cover this and what to do if there are red flags.
