From Intern to Entrepreneur is the podcast for counseling graduate students (and other grad students in mental health fields) to start planning their journey to private practice while they're still in graduate school! Host, Cori White, started planning her journey while she was still in her graduate program and it paid off BIG to start planning EARLY.
In this episode of From Intern to Entrepreneur, Cori interviews Beth Gustin! Beth recently went FULL TIME into private practice. It was her third attempt at private practice, and she shares A LOT about what she wished she knew - especially about networking!
More about Beth:
Beth Gustin is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, Pet Loss Grief Specialist, and an approved Consultant for EMDRIA. She was born blind, but was raised to never let that stop her. After working as a blindness skills trainer and program manager for an independent living center and as a therapist at two community mental health centers, Beth went into full-time private practice. In her practice, she specializes in disenfranchised grief including service dog and pet grief and loss, human death loss, and grief related to living with a disability. In her down time, Beth enjoys reading, time with family and friends, and being in nature.
