Dr Katie Kangas joins me for this conversation from her home in Encinitas, CA.
Dr Katie Kangas is a dear friend of mine. She’s been a veterinarian for the past 25 years or more, and the last 12 have been purely holistic and preventative treatment. Food as medicine is her primary approach, always finding options that can help, no matter what the animal’s situation.
Her experience ranges from exotic animals to domestic pets and birds, and she’s been a primary veterinarian for the local Human Society. When it came time to treat her beloved black lab, Asti, conventional veterinary medicine was insufficient. Her personal journey into holistic medicine led her to change her direction and never look back.
Today, along with treating clients in-person and remotely, she is a well-known speaker and writer in the holistic veterinary world, presenting at the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, writing for Dogs Naturally Magazine and appearing on podcasts that share the latest perspectives, tools and goodness to treat pets naturally, energetically and nutritionally.
