George Brauneis joins me for this conversation from his home in Western Colorado.
George connects with wild horses who have already experienced a less compassionate side of humanity. He listens, breathes and shows up with absolute candor. I'm honored to share him with you.
His facility is called Eagles & Wild Horses Ranch. His heart is all about the purity of who we are when we’re young, the play and innocence of making friends without a dominating agenda. Feeling his way through connections, he shares videos of his time with the horses. If you watch, and you watch for what he feels more than what he does, you might find a window into your own sense of play and compassion in relationships, whether it’s with horses, humans or others.
George works with and supports Evanescent Mustang Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, to remove as many wild horses from abusive and slaughter-bound situations as possible.
He also partners with Steadfast Steeds, also a 501c3 organization, on their Mustang Restoration Project - helping wild horses adapt to a human dominated world without losing their wild.
