Episode 9: From “Deep Work” to “Think Like a Monk”
Just like last week, the brain pump was juicy this week.
What is the definition of a morning person?
The bros discuss the application of what they have learned from the readings and the different ways they have applied them to life, including understanding the value of “uninterrupted time” and what that means based on individual circumstances and external factors.
All of this is one way or another associated with how to manage stress: the bros share how stress has severely impacted their health and how things like alcohol can have a compounding effect on it.
In wrapping up the the last chapter of Deep Work, they reflect on the shift in perspective that has to take place. Things get a little deep (no surprise) as they discuss the impact of guilt on your performance and how to decrease the impact.
