I love the title of Episode #9 because it truly describes how Coach Jess approaches experiences and opportunities in her life. Make It Your Own (you fill in the blank). Make it your own college career, Make it your own coaching philosophy, Make it your own competitive edge after college. There is no one way fits all and I love that Coach Jess shared so many of the different parts of her life with us! Coach Jess shares how she has continued to make her athletic journey her own. Even when coaches didn’t believe in her because she was a girl, she used every opportunity to show them that it didn’t matter what they thought.
