She also shares about what she is looking for in student athletes who are interested in joining the Huntingdon College team and some other tips for student athletes looking to wrestle in college.

I've learned so much in my new motherhood journey. I'm so thankful that I participated in a sport that set a great foundation for my motherhood journey. Happy Mother's Day everyone!

It’s never too late to get back into wrestling! Skie is living out her goals even when it is not the “norm”. Such an inspiration to everyone to not be afraid to go after what you want!

Take time to strengthen your wrestling IQ. Paige shares some examples of how you can focus and strengthen your wrestling IQ. She also opens up about how she has continued to look towards her future goals in the face of an injury. Remember that where you are today is not where you will be tomorrow, stay positive!

Being a student of the sport requires a lot of studying. Don't let that deter you from doing the work! Alyssa has some great ways to be a student of the sport! When you want to be the best you can possibly be, you take notes, you regroup, you relearn, etc. One of the most important take-aways from this episode is to embrace your struggles and find ways to make them better, don't dwell on them.

Are you wanting to coach wrestling but have never wrestled before? This episode is for you! Coach A shares how she went from coaching basketball to falling in love with the sport of wrestling and coaching wrestling. Her leap of faith to fill a need in the community is so inspiring! "There is no shape like wrestling shape" is one of my favorite quotes from the interview! Her ability to connect with her athletes, putting her pride aside and being able to put herself in their shoes by learning the technique with them is incredible! It was amazing to hear how much appreciation she has developed for the sport of wrestling by being a practice partner and coach.

I love the title of Episode #9 because it truly describes how Coach Jess approaches experiences and opportunities in her life. Make It Your Own (you fill in the blank). Make it your own college career, Make it your own coaching philosophy, Make it your own competitive edge after college. There is no one way fits all and I love that Coach Jess shared so many of the different parts of her life with us! Coach Jess shares how she has continued to make her athletic journey her own. Even when coaches didn’t believe in her because she was a girl, she used every opportunity to show them that it didn’t matter what they thought.

Have you ever struggled with feeling like you aren't enough? I think most of us can relate at some point in our life. E&H freshman Natalia Sanchez opens up about how she struggled with feeling like she was enough to wrestle in college. Natalia shares how she keeps that doubt at bay and how she is using that to fuel her thoughts and goals about next year's wrestling season. It takes so much courage to be vulnerable and I applaud and thank Natalia for opening up on this episode!
