In this episode of The Home Building and Remodeling Show we start off with a discussion on changing the narrative on construction as a career. We dive into the negative connotation associated with construction because it seems to be a second choice or alternative because a person couldn’t get a job doing something else. We discuss how we want to celebrate construction, specifically home building and remodeling as a career and profession. As such, we talk about how our remodeling and home building companies have started apprenticeship programs to model the way for other to emulate to create value and a career pathway for someone just starting out in the home building and remodeling industry. We then move over to shop talk and break down the process of interior design with Christie our lead interior designer. She discusses how the process works and gives best practices to follow on a remodeling or home building project. We also discuss how the Kerby companies all work together to make it seem effortless in the clients eyes.
