Rebecca Dixon of Rebcat Creations, has been speaking with Ricardo Ales, artist and illustrator. The paragraph below describes Ricardo in his own words. 

"I am an artist, Southern California born and raised. Birds for some reason have become a magnetic presence in my life. I suppose the intricacy and intimacy of drawing their forms attracts me. I began my art career in school at the University of California, San Diego where I got my bachelor's degree in drawing. After that the rest has been a rollercoaster ride; an endless ebb and flow of high regard and self-loathing, leading me to where I am now, drawing funny looking birds".
