Lessons from the Screenplay creator Michael Tucker returns to Missing Frames to introduce Shawn to one of his all-time favorite films: David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Despite being well received upon its release in 2008, Benjamin Button is considered something of an outlier in Fincher's filmography due to its whimsical and romantic subject matter. Because of this, the film has almost become something of a punchline, often dismissed as 'The Bad David Fincher Movie.' It's for this reason that Shawn has never gotten around to watching it. But does Benjamin Button really merit this reputation, or is it an under-appreciated gem that deserves film fans' respect?
