The showrunners seem to have developed the much appreciated ability to take an episode than in past seasons would have been disparaged as "filler" and give it just enough core plot movement to stave off that label. The majority of the focus of this episode is on the interpersonal relationships between members of the Batch, with some interesting parallels to Dune thrown in, and that's the strength of the show that has sometimes been missing from past episodes focused on the core characters.
