Grace does not always show up in the ways that we might expect or even like. Grace may at first even terrify us as it calls us to change the way we live our lives, and the way look at the world around us. Jonah was certainly in for quite the surprise when he was swallowed and vomited by a giant fish, and yet God was working to save Jonah, and Nineveh, from themselves.

Be on the lookout for giant fish.

Today we look at Jonah 1:4-16. We are looking at Jonah's decsion to flee, and the consequences of that choice. Jonah's choices impacted not just him but everyone else on the that boat, and even out on the sea. Jonah put others at risk because he wanted to avoid an argument or a conflict with God. The questions for us are where do we try to flee to, and much like Jonah, how do our choices impact others.
