Epitome Of Stupidity: Allegedly A Metal Music Podcast

Back from a little spring break with the mighty Pelican! Their newly released Flickering Resonance is a brilliant album and gave me the excuse I needed to finally get Trevor of the band on the show. We talk about a ton of things, from water park hotels, to flame meditation, basking in the warmth of creative energy and, yes, the first 11 REO Speedwagon albums (but only the first 11). Trevor certainly smartens up the place with some really insightful and fun conversation. PUSH PLAY!

Caveman battle doom podcast, go! Had a most excellent conversation with Jon Davis of Conan (not Korn but he doesn't mind the confusion). We talk Easter eggs, Mom appearances, violence, tuning crazy low and....more than a feeling. Stop reading this and PUSH PLAY!

Marathon show! Had an actual ton of fun talking with the Idle Heirs guys on what has ended up being the longest EoS show yet. We covered a lot of ground, including of course their album Life Is Violence, but also soooo much other stuff. Things like being able to live in these songs, scream teachers, music being a gift to work things out with, and of course, Chickenfoot. I also get crushed for a Tool "hot take." Stop messing around and PUSH PLAY!

No BS this is instantly one of the favorite shows I've done. Not only is the band, Doomsday, ALL the badass but Charlie of the band is an immense amount of fun. I think the conversation is an excellent combination of smart and/or meaningful plus the patented EOS fun and goofiness, including (of course) an elongated sausage conversation. Don't eff around, PUSH PLAY! Oh and there's info on how to win Sonic Temple passes....

Scour are the  extreme/black metal project of a handful of really notable players from bands like Nest, Misery Index, Pig Destroyer and of course Phil Anselmo. John and I talk all things from the work that goes into just getting ready to play music this fast and intense, recording parts backstage at arenas, working with Phil, a helluva Clutch story and tons more! Man oh man. You're not going to have to get too far into this one to realize how much I enjoyed the conversation. Joining me are Josh & Billy to talk about their band Guiltless, whose new album, Teeth to Sky, releases 3/7/2025 (and hot damn is it good). But these guys are involved in so many awesome projects it's almost hard to limit the conversation to Guiltless, which absolutely deserves it's time. Enough of me describing a good conversation, PUSH PLAY!
