If you thought the 2008 Housing Crisis was bad, wait until you see the Commercial Real Estate Crisis. The iconic AT&T Building at 909 Chestnut Street in St. Louis, MO just sold for $3.6 million. That's just $2.47 per square foot. It could be a fantastic place to rent an apartment, if you like downtown living. The problem is the city council will need to change the zoning laws to make that possible. It's just another example of how the government breaks you leg and then offers you a crutch.
