Ty and Stanislav met by pure chance, in the middle of the night, at a party on a tropical island. Ty spots her dream man across the dancefloor and Stanislav, enticed by her carefree dancing, offers her a sweet treat. As the sun rises over the ocean, so do the couples' feelings that this could be more than a holiday fling.

JJ & Janelle connected through their love of the beautiful game. Too shy to strike up initial conversation, a surprise football match on TV breaks the ice. Inviting Janelle to join his fantasy football league, JJ finds a way to keep the spark alive despite the space between them. Eventually, Janelle fans the flames with a playful snapchat, but it's not until the last minute of extra time that they secure promotion for their relationship.
For every episode of Equal Parts, an illustrator creates an impression of the story. Niamh Lehane painted a watercolour for JJ & Janelle's story. Visit www.equalpartspodcast.co.uk/artwork to see all the artwork so far.

Overcoming bad first impressions. Amir and Aamir were introduced by a mutual friend, but hopes of a connection were short-lived as their personalities clashed from the start. Over a series of nights out with mates that wouldn't quit, the two realise their differences could actually entwine to form a strong foundation for a future together.
For each episode of Equal Parts, an illustrator creates an impression of the story. This week Danielle Casimiro is behind the bright and pattern-rich art. Visit www.equalpartspodcast.co.uk/artwork to see her piece, and the full gallery for this season.

Clare and Randy drifted into each others' orbit through a shared enthusiasm for space exploration. As ground-breaking images of Pluto came into focus, so did their feelings. Trusting her instincts, Clare booked a ticket to travel halfway across the world to meet the man she had only seen through a screen, and Randy planned a mega road trip to delight in earthly wonders with his future wife.

Amaka and Toby were always in each others lives, but never saw anything more than friendship. That is, until a meddling brother and their strong shared faith planted the seed of possibility. Finally accepting what she thought was an innocent holiday invitation to Denmark, Amaka had no idea that Toby had a much more serious purpose for her trip.
Original artwork is created for each episode of Equal Parts - using the audio alone as inspiration. Sharna Neil created an illustration for Amaka & Toby's story, using vines as a metaphor for their developing and interconnecting love. You can see the piece at www.equalpartspodcast.co.uk/artwork alongside all of the artwork for the season so far.

An Insta connection, a forever love. Robert and Felipe found each other through their shared love of art and literature, and at first the daily DMs, video calls, and voice notes made it easy to forget the distance between them. As their feelings grew stronger and more certain, trips away were booked and return flights cancelled. We join our British-Brazilian couple in France, figuring out where in the world feels like home.
Every episode of Equal Parts is inspiration for a piece of art. This time, Rosie Shead (RosiePaperArt) - built an image of our couple with intricate layers of paper and card. You can view it here: www.equalpartspodcast.co.uk/artwork

The one thing about love is it doesn’t run out!: Marie, an accountant in her 50s living in the Midwest of America, is writing to her future self and telling us the realities we often don’t see in the media. Does debt-free living actually exist? Can you heal a marriage after an affair? What is sex in your 50s really like? Hosts Steph Colbourn, Sophie Shin and Maria Passingham sit down and ask if anyone really knows what they're doing, and revel in Marie's wisdom about 'taboo' subjects. Oh, and we talk about pickup trucks!

Season 2 kicks off with Tash and Marthe, two solo travellers in Bali spending almost every second together at an intimate surf retreat. As Tash navigates an inevitable break-up with a girlfriend back home, Marthe drops oh-so-subtle hints that she too, likes women. A series of starlit dinners and scootering adventures later, and they are firmly a couple. But Marthe lives in Holland, and Tash in England, and just as they find stability, COVID-19 turns the world upside-down.
