Sunny Hale has truly transformed polo on and off the field. Sunny was the first woman in U.S. History to win the US Open Polo Championship. Sunny is seven time winner of the Polo Excellence Awards: "Woman Player of the Year". Sunny attained the highest rating ever given to a woman (in the history of the sport) of 5 Goals, after winning the US Open Polo Championship with Outback Steakhouse Polo Team in 2000. Mildred Farris is a pioneer and legend throughout the sport of rodeo. As a competitor, Farris was Texas Barrel Racing Association’s champion barrel racer from 1955-1957, she earned a qualification twelve times to the National Finals Rodeo and in 1968 she earned the fastest time at the NFR. Mildred was active in the Girls Rodeo Association (later the WPRA) as the Director, Vice-President, and President. Farris has served as rodeo secretary for many top rodeos, she was named Secretary of the Year eight times by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association and inducted into four Halls of Fame. Mickey Bowen has lived her life in the saddle and on the box driving and breeding Welsh ponies single, pair, tandem and four-in-hand. Mickie was a founding member of the American Driving Society and and served on its board of directors for its first twenty years. She was also influential in the beginning of the Brandywine Valley Driving Club. And she is very proud to have been executive director and chef d’equip of the United States Driving for the Disabled for 20 years. Mickie is an “R” judge for all driving disciplines for the ADS in both pleasure shows and combined driving, and the only international “R” judge of driving for the disabled in the USA. Ellie Wood Page Keith Baxter is a classic Virginia horsewoman who became a prolific show hunter rider partnering numerous champions across the northwest. In 1936 she won the coveted ASPCA MacLay Trophy and on four occasions captured the Piedmont Hunt Invitational at the Upperville Horse Show. Ellie Wood was considered the most famous lady amateur from the mid 1930's to mid '60's. A lifelong foxhunter she first carried the Whip for the Farmington Hunt Club in her '30's. Ellie Wood was inducted into the Upperville Horse Show Hall of Fame and American and Virginia Horse Show Association Hunter Hall of Fame. In 2003 she was awarded the prestigious Pegasus Award for her lifelong contribution to the horse show industry. New Zealander Jennifer Millar has devoted her life to officiating in equestrian sport from Team Trainer to Chef de Equipe, course designer, steward and technical delegate for numerous events around the world. Jennifer served as President, Vice President and Chairman on the Equestrian Sport New Zealand National Board and on the FEI Eventing Committee, Jennifer was awarded Companion of the NZ Order of Merit and also recognized by the International Olympic Committee for her contribution to the development of Sport.
