This week Becky tells Kate about her week trying out scentwork with Rum and Reggie with very different experiences. 

Becky also tells us about her salt therapy sessions with Maisie and how her horses have been with it. Rum suffers from some minor respiratory issues and Reggie has really bad sweet itch which salt therapy can help with.

This week we circle back to one of our very earliest of podcasts on enrichment to look at how effective enrichment is for the stabled horse, what aspects of enrichment seem to be the most effective and how we can apply these findings to our management of horses.

In this episode we are joined by the brilliant Louise Napthine from Why Do Horses? Louise shares a study on housing horses in individual boxes and the challenges towards welfare. She discusses some of her thoughts on the study and the effects of enrichment on stereotypies and we all discuss how powerless we can feel when our horses are put on box rest, luckily Louise has a solution to help owners feel like they have some influence over the situation.
