John Dowdy:                 All right. Hello and welcome to another Equinety Podcast. This week we're going to have Rheanna Wolk on from Missouri. Which by the way, for those of you who don't know Missouri, would be the Show-Me State and And Rheanna, let's just get right into this. Welcome to the show.

Rheanna Wolk:             Oh. Thank you for having me.

John Dowdy:                 Well, it's great to have you. And with Missouri being the Show-Me State, and I understand, and we'll get a little bit more into this with one of your horses that you have tried every supplement, or possible thing that could help your horses with abscesses. The Show-Me State definitely comes into play when you found the Equinety product.

John Dowdy:                 So tell us a little bit about... you have two horses and you originally found the Equinety product for your Fox Trotter. Tell us what was going on with your Fox Trotter, and what you were trying to solve there and what happened there.

Rheanna Wolk:             Okay. Yeah. When we would go out to take care of the horses, he would have major leg cramps in the one leg. And after seeing the ads, I thought, "Well, we should try this and see if it helps his cramping." He was on it for probably six weeks, and his cramps still were there, but he got really shiny. In the meantime, I thought I would try it for the other horse who has had many abscesses in the past, and thought I would use it as a preventative.

John Dowdy:                 Right. So with your Fox Trotter, and this happens, I would say not that often, but because the Equinety is amino acids, and what it's specifically doing is stimulating the pituitary gland to release the necessary hormones, which help the body heal at a cellular level. So what you found with your Fox Trotter in over a six week week period, that he was still having the cramps. So it didn't help in that area specifically, but what you did find, his coat was soft and shiny. His overall build and everything was filled out and looked really good from that aspect.

Rheanna Wolk:             Yes, yes. It really made him look very pretty, but he just didn't seem to recover from the cramping.

John Dowdy:                 Okay. And at the same time, and then this is really going to be the meat of the story of this podcast, is your 29 year old who has had a plethora of issues through his life. So give us a little background on him. Because although this wasn't the initial reason why you purchased the product, you thought, "Well, what could it hurt? We'll give it a shot and see what happens." But tell us a little bit of the history and the issues that you've dealt with with him.

Rheanna Wolk:             Oh yes. Several years ago he ended up getting an abscess, and the vet came to check him and he said he's just prone to these sort of infections, and things, and that I would be dealing with this a lot. So we tried so many different supplements, and different things that I found on the internet and in catalogs, and nothing ever seemed to work. So while my Fox Trotter was on this, I thought I would try the other one on Equinety. And he was getting really perky and acting a lot better. And I was noticing a huge difference with him. Unfortunately, I let my supplement run out.

John Dowdy:                 What?

Rheanna Wolk:             I let it go for a little bit, and in the meantime, I was in the process of reordering, but he developed another abscess. And when I... I'm sorry.

John Dowdy:                 No, you're fine.

Rheanna Wolk:             When I ended up getting the Equinety in the mail, I started giving him the supplement.

John Dowdy:                 All right. Hello, welcome to another Equinety podcast. I am really excited. We've got Linda Briles on from Garden City, Kansas. Well, let's get right into it. Linda, welcome to the Equinety podcast.

Linda Briles:                  Thank you so much. I'm so happy that you called, because I do want to share my experience with your product, Equinety, for a horse that really needed some help.

John Dowdy:                 And I'm excited to have you on. Well, let's get to give a little bit of your background. You've been a riding instructor for 50 years. You're a pre-vet student. What are some of the other things that you've been involved with in the horse world?

Linda Briles:                  Well, I showed when I was in high school All Western. When my daughter got into English, we did a lot of eventing, and got very involved with the United States Pony Club where I was the Vice RS of the Rocky Mountain Region and I was also on their instruction council in Kentucky for two years. We got into cutting, did a lot of cutting and I had 19 students and boarded when he horses. This was in Fort Collins, Colorado. Where I had gone to Colorado State University in pre-vet and I fold out a lot of mares for people. And so I have a lot of experience with horses and then have been following my daughter around the state of Kansas because of the grandchildren. And so I've ended up down here in Garden City with my horses.

John Dowdy:                 Nice. And you're giving lessons now still?

Linda Briles:                  Yeah.

John Dowdy:                 Yeah. That's fantastic. Well that is quite a background. So you know your horses?

Linda Briles:                  I do.

John Dowdy:                 That goes without saying. So let's get into the meat of this particular podcast and one of the reasons I'm excited to have you on is because you have seven horses currently, but one of them is a 19 year old and you've been battling with severe laminitis for the past six years. Tell us a little bit about that and what are some of the things that you've been doing to try to help this situation?

Linda Briles:                  Yeah. I probably didn't recognize what was going on at first, although six years or even seven years ago, he was urinating a lot and he would not want to lift one foot up and we just thought maybe he was out of shape, but he started lying down. He couldn't walk. He was gritting his teeth and we had the veterinarian, I was living in Topeka at that time, come out and said that he had laminitis. We tried changing his diet. It didn't seem to matter what we did. He would be up and down a lot and to the point where we couldn't use him as a, I used him as a schooling horse. He was a cutting horse in his younger years. And got down here to Garden City and most of the time he would be lying down. He would have lapses where he wouldn't be so bad. Maybe for a month or so.

My farrier that I had during the first five years, pretty well gave up on him and told me that I should probably put him down and I didn't feel that I could. And I saw this advertisement on Facebook for Equinety and I thought I'm going to give it a try. And I had tried tumeric because I've seen a lot of results with my horses when they've started to colic or have some problems. The tumeric has really worked really well, but it's an antiinflammatory painkiller. And so it didn't really solve the problem until I started using the Equinety, which I noticed. This horse was lying down, gritting his teeth. I had to make him get up to walk out, to go out into a crowd during the day. Within three days, I noticed it when morning I walked in, he was standing up.

John Dowdy:     Hello, and welcome to another Equinety podcast. This is your host, John Dowdy. This week, we're swinging up into Ohio. Our guest is Rachel Senft. She is a nurse for her day job and on the weekends typically running about three shows a month. Rachel, welcome to the Equinety podcast.

Rachel Senft:    Thanks for having me. I am really excited to tell the story about how it's helped all my horses, especially my oldest gelding.

John Dowdy:     Oh, that's awesome. Well, we're excited to have you on. Today we're going to be talking about four of your different horses. But before we do that, as I mentioned, you are a nurse. When you first saw the product, the Equinety product, and saw that it was all amino acids, what went through your head as you're looking for things for your horses and things like that?

Rachel Senft:    I was looking for something a little bit different than your traditional joint supplements, like your feed through stuff. There's some debate whether they're effective or not. We all know like the Adequan injections and stuff are super expensive. So I wanted to try something different to see if it really helped [inaudible 00:01:17].

Rachel Senft:    That's kind of how I got started on Equinety. A friend of mine had used it, and my older horse just wasn't looking very good. We were pumping the feed to him. I think I started him on it like around January. We were pumping the feed to him. He was kind of dull coated. He wasn't keeping a whole lot of weight. So we ended up putting him on Equinety and within a week noticed a big difference than him. He was always typically kind of hollowed out through the withers. That muscle mass increased, his coat got brighter, he just overall looked like a whole different horse, and that was only in like a matter of a week. By the end of the 30 day sample, he looked amazing. He was 15 then, he's 17 now. When people see him, they can't believe he's 17. He doesn't look it [inaudible 00:02:27].

John Dowdy:     Wow. That's great. Now you're using this horse as well as your other ones in the barrel racing world. You qualified for several things in the NBHA and the IBRA primarily where you're running. Give us a little bit of some of your accomplishments there.

Rachel Senft:    In 2017, I guess my biggest accomplishment would be I won my first saddles on my older horse. I ended up reserve ... state champion, and I was reserve state champion on the second horse that I trained by only like a couple points. So I was super excited. We had never won a saddle. I've gotten plenty of buckles, but that saddle was really, really a check off my bucket list.

John Dowdy:     So two of the horses that you trained, you won champion and reserve on both of them.

Rachel Senft:    Yup.

John Dowdy:     That's great.

Rachel Senft:    That champion reserve in the 3D and in our state, it's pretty salty. I'm running against [inaudible 00:03:39], all those guys. So it's not a walk in the park, per se.

John Dowdy:     Right, wow. And you train all of your horses?

Rachel Senft:    Yeah, we typically buy two-year-olds, and some of them aren't even broke, and we start them on our own. We trail ride them until they're about four or five-ish, just to get their heads mature. Then we take them and I start kind of playing with them and teaching them the barrel pattern. So by doing that, we create sound ... like they're structurally sound by the time they're four or five, they've got good heads on their shoulders, and through trail ridings and do different things, they usually are pretty good with their feet.

John Dowdy:     Hello and welcome to another Equinety podcast. This week we're going to swing up into Mooreville, Mississippi, and we've got a 13 year old Savannah Shumpert on the podcast this week and I am excited to have you on, Savannah. Welcome to the Equinety podcast.

Savannah Shumpert:     Thank you so much for having me. I'm very excited to be here and tell about how Equinety has helped my two horses.

John Dowdy:     Oh, that's great. Well now you've been riding for, well, since you could walk, I hear. Is that accurate?

Savannah Shumpert:     Yes sir. I've just been riding ever since I was old enough to even have a concept of what a horse was. I remember when I was really little, my dad actually bought me and my sister a saddle and we were actually too little to know when it was. We were like, is it a Barbie? And he's like, no, it's a saddle?

John Dowdy:     A Barbie. That's pretty good. So, okay, so you started riding at an early age and then you obviously loved what you're doing, so you started to competing right away. How old were you when you started competing?

Savannah Shumpert:     I would say when I started seriously riding a big horse at shows, I was about eight or nine.

John Dowdy:     Okay. And then we're talking to barrel racing here?

Savannah Shumpert:     Yes sir.

John Dowdy:     All right. Okay. And what's also most impressive at age 13 here, you have a qualified for a few very large events. Tell us about the things you've qualified for.

Savannah Shumpert:     Yes sir. Well last year I qualified for the Junior NFR. This year at the all American News Race back in June, I qualified for the Junior American and in April, I qualified for the one day shootout at the [inaudible 00:01:46] World Finals. That'll be taking place next year. And in the finals, I qualified in the fast 50. That's this year.

John Dowdy:     That is quite impressive.

Savannah Shumpert:     Thank you.

John Dowdy:     Yeah. So, okay, so let's jump right in. And coming from a performance, a horse, which we're going to talk about two different horses. One of them is a 21 year old gelding that had foundered and tell us or give us a little bit of background on this horse, what was going on, what you were kind of doing prior to using the Equinety. And then we'll get into what advances the Equinety's made.

Savannah Shumpert:     Yes sir. Okay. So we got [inaudible 00:02:28] or I'm just going to call him Base. We got him around, I would say December of 2017 and we were just, He was doing fine and so on around May, my Mom and Dad took him down to get just some yearly injections. So everything was going fine and then his feet started swelling. We gave him some pain medicine and he just, it began a snowball effect and he began to founder. So his joints swelled up. And then we took him to Outlaw Equine in Texas and he spent the whole summer there. So after we got him back, we didn't really know how to get his feet back to where he could walk. So my dad started him on Equinety and it has been amazing how it has repaired his feet because he's 21 and we didn't think he was going survive a second case of founder. So just for him to be sound is amazing.

John Dowdy:     Right. So He's been on Equinety now for how long?

Savannah Shumpert:     I believe it's been on Equinety for about a year.

John Dowdy:     Okay. And so what have you noticed then in the year since he's been on the Equinety?

Savannah Shumpert:     I've noticed that his coat,

We're going to swing up into Tennessee this week and we're going to be speaking with Jackie Allen and she's got actually four different things going on. Four different horses. Including in those four is a donkey and a mule. Which I know is exciting because we haven't had anybody give us any feedback on a podcast with a donkey and a mule. I'm excited about that. Without further ado, Jackie, welcome to the Equinety podcast.

Jackie Allen:                  Oh, welcome to you too and I'm so excited about being able to tell about this great product.

John Dowdy:                 Oh, well we're glad to have you on and I'm glad you could take some time out of your schedule. I know you've been using the Equinety now for about a year, but prior to that, what are your general thoughts about horse supplements just in general and then when you came across the Equinety, what was your thoughts on the Equinety? Were you skeptical or just give us an overall view on that, your outlook on supplements in general?

Jackie Allen:                  Yes, I've used other supplements. I didn't see much results and my daughter told me about the Equinety and how good it was. I was a little skeptical because she said that it did so many things. I said, "Okay, I'll give it a try." I tried it and I love it.

John Dowdy:                 Now, okay, well so let's get into that. Obviously hearing about it from your daughter gave you some feel good about about that, which is always nice. I know we've got four different horses here and let's talk about the first one which was a rescue, had a very bad coat. Tell us about that even when you'd clip him and things. Tell us kind of what was going on there.

Jackie Allen:                  Yeah, I rescued Jasper and he was pretty poor. His coat was absolutely horrible. It would come out in clumps and he was a black horse, but you couldn't tell he was black. I started feeding him the Equinety and the next time he shedded out, he is pitch black, shiny. I love looking at him in the pasture because he just shines.

He also had sidebone. He came up with sidebone and I couldn't ride him anymore. That was before I fed him the Equinety and when I started feeding him the Equinety, about six months I noticed in the pasture he wasn't limping anymore. I tried riding him and he hasn't taken a bad steps since.

John Dowdy:                 Holy smokes.

Jackie Allen:                  I'm really excited about that.

John Dowdy:                 Yeah, and you were even advised not to ride him or he couldn't be ridden anymore because of the sidebone.

Jackie Allen:                  Right, right. He always said I could have injected him and stuff, but I wasn't going to do that.

John Dowdy:                 Sure, sure, and you just thought, "Well, we'll give them the Equinety and see what happens?" Was that kind of how you went?

Jackie Allen:                  Yeah, yeah because I didn't want to, I didn't want to not ride him. He was a great ride. He took very good care of me and he's my heart horse. Yeah, I wanted to check it out and see. Yeah in fact, I just wrote him the other day and he doesn't take a bad step.

John Dowdy:                 That's great. Now what are some of the other things you've noticed since he's been on the Equinety?

Jackie Allen:                  He's really quiet. He just looks good. I think he feels good. He acts like he feels good.

John Dowdy:                 Changing coat, hooves, things like that?

Jackie Allen:                  Yeah, yeah,

That's way out for me because I'm on the east coast in Florida, but we're going to the state of Washington and we're going to be speaking with Tammy Wojak. Tammy, welcome to the Equinety Podcast.

Tammy Wojak:              Hi, I'm happy to be here. I'm really excited to share our story about our mare.

John Dowdy:                 Great. So your mare is Holly and she's a show horse for the past three years. Tell us a little bit about your daughter and what she's doing with ... with Holly and ... and what's ... what's going on there prior to the injury, which we will talk about in a few moments.

Tammy Wojak:              Sure ... sure. So my daughter's been riding since she was nine. She's now 14, and three years ago when our trainer approached us about leasing a mare named Holly, which we did for about a year. And at that same, my daughter was just minimally showing in some local shows kind of getting her feet wet. And then we purchased the mare two years ago and she started doing more showing. And then this past year she did most of, actually I think all of our pinto shows in Washington state. We have an organization called Cascade Pinto and another organization called Pinto of Western Washington, and so she did ... I think it was six shows throughout the year, throughout the show calendar with Holly, and they did really well. She's an all around mare, so she does quite a few events, but we've always been very careful with her. She has top-notch vet care, chiropractic all around, all of her supplements.

Tammy Wojak:              And then at the end of last show season, the trainer rides her once a week and she noticed a little bit of ... she called it, she's a little off. And so we took her over to the specialist, and they diagnosed her, or he diagnosed her, with lateral collateral ligament damage of her coffin joint after an MRI. So we saw him first. We got her in for an MRI and that was her ... her prognosis. She never, or her diagnosis, she never limped, she never favored her feet and it was of both front feet. On her left foot, mild to moderate and on her right foot, moderate to severe.

John Dowdy:                 Oh Wow. Okay.

Tammy Wojak:              Yeah.

John Dowdy:                 Wow. So you had the MRI, so you were able to pinpoint exactly what was going on there. So what were some of the recommendations to try to help this injury?

Tammy Wojak:              I'll back up just a little bit.

John Dowdy:                 Okay.

Tammy Wojak:              So when we [inaudible 00:02:55] took her over to see the veterinarian, he did x-rays and the MRI and couldn't find anything and then recommended having the MRI so we could pinpoint what was really going on with her. It took us about a month to get her into an MRI facility. So we started a rest and rehab protocol that first ... we took her home from that initial appointment and then had 30 days stall rest and hand walking prior to the MRI. The MRI was when we discovered what the ultimate problem was, and about two weeks of that first month of stalled rest is when I started the Equinety. So she was on it probably about two weeks prior to her MRI.

John Dowdy:                 Oh, okay. So [crosstalk 00:03:44] tell us a little bit about [crosstalk 00:03:45] how you came across the Equinety and what your view is typically on supplements.

Tammy Wojak:              Sure. She's on the joint supplement regularly. She's on ... got medication,

I am really excited this week we've got a five horse story this week from [Carl Heron 00:00:16] who wouldn't consider himself a performance horse kind of guy, but does a lot of trail riding, cattle, hunting and packing trips. So the need is more for the endurance than their performance. And how I came across Carl is he was commenting on one of our ads and he is swearing by this product and said his only regret is that he couldn't buy a 50 gallon drum of product. I thought, "Okay, I got to reach out to Carl and hear his story. So without further ado, Carl, welcome to the Equinety podcast.

Carl Herren:      Good morning, how are you sir?

John Dowdy:     I'm doing very well. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your stories.

Carl Herren:      Not a problem. I would not miss this opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and scream my praise for this product.

John Dowdy:     Oh, that is awesome. We are definitely blessed. And as we go through these stories, you know, the hope here is that people listening for the first time who might be on the fence might a cross over when they hear the hear what you have to, to share with them. So before we jump into this, you've been around horses all your life. Give us your basic thoughts on supplements in general because I'm sure your thoughts aren't probably too far off from other people that have been around in the industry for awhile.

Carl Herren:      Right. No, like I said, I grew up old school, small community, ranch and horses, things like that. And everybody has the newfangled, neatest, greatest, number one thing in the world. And, and they all claim, I've said before, that you take this for a month, you're going gonna end up with a flying unicorn, magical mythical animal by the time you're done using this.

Carl Herren:      And I've used all those products and I've tried to see the results and they're just not there. Some of them were decent and some of them, the horses took two, some of them they didn't. But when we stumbled across this on Facebook and of course like everybody else that I've listened to and read about with Equinety, let's give it a shot, find out, last resort, let's try it. And you know where I'm at right now with my animals, I don't think I'm too far off from that magical flying unicorn. It's been amazing the change in these animals since I started using it.

John Dowdy:     Yeah. So let's... We've got five horses to just kinda go over and before we jump into that, I'll throw this little piece in there, and I've mentioned this on other podcasts, but one of the reasons why this one product, which a serving size is 5.2 grams, which is not even a tablespoon, 100% pure amino acids. The reason why it can have a different effect for each is because it's customizing to each animal. I hunted off her when it was a friend's horse and I told him if he ever decided to sell her, I wanted her, and it came up that we made a good deal, and I got this horse to come home and she was an amazin...

John Dowdy: Hello and welcome to another Equinety podcast, this week we're swinging out west to California. We've got C.C. Wellman on the podcast this week with Happy Endings Animal Sanctuary. C.C. welcome to the Equinety podcast.

C.C. Wellman: Well, thank you so much, John. I'm excited to be here.

John Dowdy: Good. Well we're happy to have you and excited to hear your stories and I think before we get into the Equinety and what it's done for some of your horses, let's talk a little bit about the animal sanctuary that you have out there and what exactly you do. So you started back in 2007 I believe, if my dates are correct.

C.C. Wellman: Yes.

John Dowdy: Yeah, so tell us a little bit about what you do out there on the farm.

C.C. Wellman: Well, we have a number of programs. We take horses that would otherwise be euthanized and we rehabilitate them and try to adopt them out. If for safety reasons, they cannot be adopted out, we have them in our sanctuary program. Some of the horses are permanent residents and we use them in our education programs for the children and also adults. We have our education program for schools and camps and if and different organizations, in which we teach care and respect and what to look for if you see an animal that's in trouble. If it's thin or if it doesn't have any food or seems to be in a desperate situation.

We also have our horse angels program, where we have at risk children, foster care children, different children around our area that are at risk. Meaning that they are either in the foster care system or having problems in school and we know their stories before they come. And so what we do is we pair abused horses with abused children and neglected horses with neglected children and drug addicted horses or previously drug addicted horses with drug addicted children. And it's completely amazing. The horses seem to know what the kids' problems are and their whole demeanor completely dissolves.

There is nothing more than love and respect on both ends. We tell the children the horses stories and we humanize it and the kids are amazed that horses can feel like that and have the same issues in their life. There's a bonding that goes on there and we have each child go up to a certain horse and give them a hug and tell them their deepest, darkest secrets. It's amazing the change in the children from when they walk down the driveway, when they arrive and when they leave. The hardened, angry children are hugging me, wanting me to be their foster mom and [crosstalk 00:03:50] for the horses. And it's just, it's amazing. So it's a gift and I absolutely take no credit for that program. I don't do anything except teach the children how to be safe and how to give a cookie. The rest of it is the horses.

John Dowdy: Yeah, wow.

C.C. Wellman: They're amazing and I'm so grateful that we have an opportunity to heal hearts, both in horses and children.

John Dowdy: I would imagine with these kids coming in, of course they know they're going to see a horse, is probably what they're told. I'm assuming, they might go a little bit more in depth, but as you said, what they're coming into as a hardened kid because of what's happened to them and then I would imagine that is pretty tear jerking in some situations, watching their demeanors change and the horses change and everything else during that time.

C.C. Wellman: Absolutely, it's magic and there is no other way to explain it. It's just magical and the horse does it all. They sit with them and that especially our Tucker, listens to them and looks at them and then he'll nod his head like, "Okay,

John Dowdy:     Well, you bet. I'm glad you guys took some time out of your super busy schedules. And I think it's important, you know, you guys run full lives. Trainers, coaches, mentors. You're doing clinics. You're traveling all over the place. Why don't we take just a little bit of time and just give us a little bit of both of your backgrounds, so we can just have an idea of what your guys' lives are like on a daily basis?

Danielle Bowser            Well, we could talk about Kelly first. He's been doing it forever. An awfully long time.

Kelly Bowser     Yeah. I've been doing it for quite a while. I'm not going to say, because then it gives away my age, but I've been doing it for a long time.

John Dowdy:     Yeah.

Kelly Bowser     I've been doing pretty good. It was a slow start when I was younger, but it's getting better and better every year.

Danielle Bowser            Kelly mostly trains futurity horses. That's what he loves to do, is work with the young horses. If there is any that are ours that are good enough, then I take them over when they're between five and six years old. Kelly's had a lot of success. He's pretty quiet about the horses that have gone on to be so successful. But he's had a few horses that have won futurities and shown all year long and then gone on to a few girls that have taken them to the NFR, so that was pretty exciting.

Danielle Bowser            He's had a couple of horses now that he's trained, one that I ran and one that he ran, but both gone to the American finals, the American Rodeo, and that was pretty exciting. We both had times that were fast enough to qualify us and we both drug barrels over, so that was a little disappointing. But that's what happens in barrel races.

John Dowdy:     Those darn barrels get in the way.

Danielle Bowser            They do. And, there's no money under them.

John Dowdy:     Now, without giving away age or length of time, there was something special that happened in 1994, though.

Kelly Bowser     I won the World on a little mare that me and my dad owned.

John Dowdy:     That's awesome.

Kelly Bowser     We bought her, a long two year old and I trained her as a two and three year old. And she did good. She did real good.

John Dowdy:     Yeah.

Danielle Bowser            That's AQHA World. So, we had a really pretty buckle and a frame on the wall from the AQHA World Champion.

John Dowdy:     Yeah, yeah. So Kelly, you've always just kind of stayed with the futurity horses. That's kind of your gig. And then, when they work out of the futurity world, then Danielle, you kind of take them over. Or, the ones that you ... You get to cherry pick, I guess.

Kelly Bowser     Yes.

Danielle Bowser            Yeah.

Kelly Bowser     Yeah, she ... And then, the customers are the same way. After the four year old year, they usually take them home and then hopefully they do good and go on with them. It's been pretty good for me, I think. So.

Arthritis, Injections, Swelling, Peace of Mind - Happy Horse Owner

 

John Dowdy:                 Hello and welcome to another exciting [Equinety] Podcast. This podcast is... It's a long overdue for one that has to do with arthritis and I was pleasantly surprised when the owner of these two horses, Nancy, we were just talking about one specifically and she goes, "Oh, well I have another story for you." So we're going to get two for one on this podcast. So without further ado, Nancy, welcome to the show.

Nancy McCarren:          Oh, thank you. I'm glad to be here. My name is Nancy [McCarren] and I was introduced to the product via Facebook, an ad came up and I thought it looked pretty good, so I wanted to try it and that was back in January. I have a horse, he's a Rocky Mountain horse. He's 15 years old and he's had arthritis for two years. When we got him, he was very lame after we'd had him for a little while and I guess the bute wore off. He was pretty rare when him and I tried some other products and they really didn't work very well at all. So I started trying the Equinety and I was very, very happy with the results. Within a week this horse was out in the pasture galloping around, which he hadn't done because he was so sore and he just progressively got better and pretty soon there was no lameness at all.

Nancy McCarren:          I'm very, very happy with the product with this horse. His name is Rocky, he's a Rocky Mountain horse, I think I said that. We have another horse and he's seven years old and he was out for training and he developed a swelled hock. So we took him to the vet and the vet said he had a little arthritis there and that swelling would never go down. So I had such great results with the Rocky Horse that I thought I'd try it on this Tennessee Walker and I did, and I noticed within a couple of weeks that the swelling was totally gone. There's no swelling at all. He never was lame, but he was diagnosed with arthritis, just mild, just beginning. Like I said, the vet said that that swelling would never go down, but it did, so they both ... He's been on the product for about six weeks now, and the Rocky horse has been on it since January and they're both doing very well.

Nancy McCarren:          I can't tell you how much I love this product. I'm so happy for us, it's wonderful. That little scoop does such a great job and I'm going to keep using it forever.

John Dowdy:                 Wow, that's great. Well, so let's jump right back to the do the first horse there, your Rocky Mountain horse named Rocky. So you're primarily using him as a trail horse is what ...

Nancy McCarren:          Yes.

John Dowdy:                 Okay, so he's 15 years old and he had arthritis pretty severe when you got him, and you mentioned he was ... or the bute had kind of worn off, but he was also getting injections annually, isn't that right?

Nancy McCarren:          Yes, that's true. The previous owner, I had him injected like once a year right into the area, the hock, where the arthritis was, and that didn't sound very appealing to me. I didn't want to continue with that kind of process. So that's why I'm so happy I found this other product here.

John Dowdy:                 Right, right. So he was coming up due for probably around the time in January for the injection and you noticed he was just getting worse. That's when you came across the Equinety, and so-

Nancy McCarren:          Yeah.

John Dowdy:                 From the time that you started using the Equinety ... because as you alluded to you, you weren't a fan of the injection so you were searching around trying to find an alternative. You'd tried several other things, nothing really seemed to work and then you came across the Equinety.
