EQUINOXAST

Sublime sounds and hypnotic grooves stimulate her being, compelling her to source and mix, creating a micro, minimal, soul-stirring experience she calls astral:house. Those who crave a nourishing sonic experience have followed Katharine’s journey along the Australian East Coast with her musical partner Ben Abrahams for over two decades as they’ve influenced the scene with their exciting taste & consistent delivery of stimulating underground house & techno. They spent the late 90s & early 2000s playing sideways house, of which they have a large collection, obtained without fail on shipment day from their favourite record stores in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Katharine had the first of her two children before returning to Melbourne and putting on high-vibe parties at the infamous Killing Time Bar & My Aeon, always with a tight crew of Australia’s best underground djs. Now they have their forward thinking electronic music label Motion:Theory:Music representing local artists.

Katharine has played magical closing sets out in the bush, as her unique way elevates and deeply satisfies at both sunset & sunrise. You can find her at Killing Time Bar for Over, Subterrania or Motion:Theory parties, or playing a blissed out set in nature, but experience her anytime through her Motion:Theory mix series & podcasts she makes for collectives who appreciate her taste and ability to source irresistible bass lines with trip:tastic experi:mental accompaniments.

mia&moa is a Brazilian DJ-duo electronic music project taken as the epitome of a resourceful fringed work without adequate apparatus. Two minds: a fearless mixer with a crumbling computer and a visionary YouTube sonic-collector. By always chasing unlabelable music in a simple and approachable style, over a non-linear narrative strategy, mia&moa' selections are twisting the cult sounds of 90-00's era through time and space and telling in your face that genres aren't that trick if you focus in a cohesive vibe.

It's Kim Kemi's return to Fantastic Friends Recordings. Danish and actor of the Berlin scene, we find all his influences on his original song Sea Bass. A raw formwork title with rock, melancholic and futuristic accents reminding us of our first rave parties. And to make this release a unidentified musical object, it is not less than 5 remixers who set to work for a rendering of the most confusing. A more techno vision for Sascha Dive and Yapacc, a minimal orientation for Nicolas Duvoisin and Girgio Maulini while Mandarin brings its house touch to Sea Bass.

Available in all platforms.
