In the early 2022, when we still called ourselves DEEPtHREEM, we invited our fantastic friend @mandarin-ffr (co-founder and label manager of Fantastic Friends Recordings, also a part of Oceanic Recordings Label Team) doing the opening of our Minimal Room Series to present our concept of deep minimal.
During these two and a half years, we published 28 great deep episodes in the Minimal Room Series, including genres of Minimal House, Minimal Techno, Dub Techno and Hypnotic. And now, in the end of summer 2024, we make a tough decision to end this series for good.
Our old friends may remember that we had three series focused on three different genres, since the very beginning of DEEPtHREEM. It was just like three cubes stacking on each other (which was also the logo back then). The overlap of the three is the sound we are truly searching for all the time. And now, we finally find it.
Closing Minimal Room Series doesn't mean we don't like minimal sound anymore, but blending our love to minimal sound into the soundscape we build now by our releasing.
Now, let's welcome our fantastic friend Mandarin again, presents us to give you this perfect special closing episode. This is the 29th of Minimal Room Series, and also the 134th of all our episodes, which have a brand new name, EQUINOXAST.

MANDARIN:
Born in 1975, Mandarin starts djing in 1995 in France. It’s in Geneva-Switzerland that his career has taken another turn. His jobs as owner of a vinyls shop during the 200’s, event organizer and artistic director of some night-club’s mades him know as nobody how to drive a party. Doing radio shows and djing all over Europe for more than 20 years (A Redbull Tour in Czech Republic still stay is best souvenir), he shared decks with some of famous Dj’s of the past and actual scene as Gene Farris, Onionz, Lil’Louis, Harry Romero, Djul’z, Craig Alexander, Dave Angel, Steeve Bicknell, Terry Francis, Nick Curly and many more…
His sets explore all the trends of undergound electronic music with the sole aim of making people dance, dream and travel. His tracks are always mixed with great precision and he offers a selection as surprising as it is coherent. Ghetto house, dub house, melodic and progressive deep-tech, minimal house and techno are all the component of his music styles.
