Together, we learned how Jesus modeled relational community in truth and love.

This is a discipleship class for those desiring to go deeper in a lifestyle of worship and prayer. We explored the practical, everyday character traits that matter in the life of a worshipping prayer warrior. This class uplifted and challenged us to dig deep and step higher.

If you’ve ever had feelings of loneliness or abandonment or trouble feeling like you belong or that no one is fighting for you, you may be impacted by an orphan spirit. Explore God’s Word and learn to walk in His Spirit of adoption as His child rather than an orphan spirit.

Our culture is built heavily around work, and for most of us, it consumes the majority of our waking hours and relates closely to our identity. Yet, as Christians we often view our spiritual lives and work lives as separate compartments rather than seeing work as a God-given blessing or calling to be stewarded well. What’s more, we often get “too busy” to rest or feel guilty when we do, leading to an endless cycle of stress and frustration. In this class, we discovered what God says about properly stewarding both our work and rest. We were prepared and challenged to find new freedom in God’s rich blessings!

Romans 1:16 says, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” In this three-week class, we dove into God’s Word and discovered the meaning of Paul’s admonition to take the gospel to the Jew first. We studied how this powerful principle close to God’s heart can impact our world. We discovered how becoming a blessing to Israel can influence our outreach and expand our devotional life.

We are called to a life of supernatural fruitfulness by the Holy Spirit, but what does it mean to “walk in the Spirit”? This class strengthened our desire to be used by God and gave us practical steps for partnership. We learned how believers can grow in their ability to hear the voice of God, use the gifts of the Spirit, and how to move from a natural-bound existence to doing great “exploits” with God.

There are two extremes in understanding the Bible—those who say, “Just read the Bible and do what it says,” and those who say, “I read it, but I don’t understand it—it’s archaic.” Our goal in this class was to understand God’s message to us (today) as it relates to His original audience. This class equiped us with life-long skills for reading the Bible faithfully and accurately.

Does God have a perfect will for each Christian? Can you be absolutely certain of God’s specific will for your life? Most Christians have been taught how to find God’s will, yet many are still unsure whether they’ve found it. God does guide His people, but the question is, “How does He guide?” This class discussed very practical issues like, choosing a mate, picking a career, and giving.
