In a 2013 survey, the Barna Group discovered that over 40% of American adults believe we are living in the end times. As society shifts and our Facebook news feeds and evening news programs continue to flaunt tragedy and suffering, that percentage will surely grow. This class explores scriptures that offer insight into the chaos around us and provides help for applying the Bible in these pressing days. Designed to deepen and expand Pastor Jimmy’s weekend messages at Gateway Church, this class will give you an opportunity to hear more and ask questions about the end times.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He said in Acts 1:8, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." The church was birthed and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit took place on the day of Pentecost. This class took us on a journey of how God's power came to dwell in His people when He "poured out His Spirit on all mankind." Make an appointment (mo'ed) with God and explore the beauty of this Old Testament Feast in its fulfillment in the New Testament and in our lives.

The current cultural buzz is about gender identity and sexuality.  This 4-week class will look at the last 2 decades of scientific research on the issue of gender from major research universities across the country.  Cross-referenced with the biblical evidence – we will ask the question “What does it mean to be made in God’s image?” (Parental discretion advised).
