Jonathan teaches that the disciples on the road to Emmaus were likely a husband wife team. Jesus walk with them (His first post-resurrection activity), shows the significance of the restored walk from the Garden of Eden with the first married couple, Adam and Eve. Leviticus 26 tells us Gods intention was for His people to walk in freedom, with their heads held high. As believers, we are called to walk by the Spirit and stay in step with the Spirit. This means we cannot run ahead (presumption), or lag behind (slothfulness), or hide (shame). Christ's resurrection enabled us to walk with Him again, and walking together enables conversation!
