In this panel discussion, Becca Ferguson is joined by Lauren Meyer, Val O'Brien, and Jackie Piscura. Together, they discuss what it has looked like in their lives to surrender everything to Jesus - in seasons where that's been easy, and in seasons where it's been not so easy.

Dean serves as the Director of Care and Culture here at Cuyahoga Valley Church and has been on staff at CVC for over 20 years. Dean holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. At our 2025 Women's Conference, Dean led a WorkShop focused on Emotional and Spiritual Health, and helped attendees consider what it looks like to submit our feelings, our thoughts, and our whole selves to Jesus. 

Lauren is the Director of CVCYouth, and she holds both a B.S. and an M.A. in Counseling from Clarks Summit University. She has served for almost ten years in youth ministry here at CVC, and has extensive experience helping students and families navigate the highs and lows of family and friend relationships in a manner that honors Christ and the Kingdom. At our 2025 Women’s Conference, Lauren led a WorkShop focused on having healthy relationships that are completely submitted to the Lord. 

Val is the Founder and Executive Director of Aspen Ministry, a ministry to students that desires to biblically, historically, and winsomely show an emerging generation who Jesus is—and inspire and equip the church to cross generations and culture to receive them. Val has a Bible degree from Moody Bible Institute, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. Val’s workshop at our 2025 Women's Conference focused on how a right view of God, ourselves, and the Kingdom of God allows us to more fully submit and surrender to Christ. 

In our first main session at the 2025 CVC Women's Conference, Director of Community Life and Women's Ministry, Becca Ferguson, taught on Romans 12:1-2, and invited attendees to think about what it looks like and what it means to submit our whole selves to Jesus, to surrender all to Him.
