“For truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” Matthew 17:20“So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit…”” John 20:21-22
The word breathed literally means to germinate or to grow, to sprout or to produce; figurative to spring up. It is as if He planted the seed of the Holy Spirit in them that would grow and sprout and produce.
“But what does it say? “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” Romans 10:8-10
The Holy Spirit has planted the seed of faith in our heart; it is our responsibility to confess it. By believing and confessing we cause the seed to grow and produce fruit.
God has solutions; by our believing and speaking it gives God room to move.
“And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.”” Mark 11:22-23
When Jesus spoke this He used a specific mountain as an example, it was called the mountain of corruption.
The mountain represents everything that is contrary to God’s plan. God wants us to use the seed of faith He has planted in us to remove the mountains of corruption in our sphere of influence to bring forth His plan.
There are times when we don’t know what to do in situations but we can still speak grace into those situations.
