In this week's episode, I discuss a small lil baby controversy that came up the day I recorded! It called into question my use of the Unbridled Guide. I go into detail why I'm using it, but more importantly, HOW I'm using it. Beyond the neck rope quandary, I address my opinions on controversial tack! Bits, Whips, Spurs, Saddles, Halfpads, Nosebands, Flashes & More lol so give the ol pod a listen to hear someone else's view on the industry's equipment. I think I have some pretty moderate views, but some are a lil bit left field.

This week's episode, I break down how I got my job, what my job is, the pros and the cons, and why making your passion your career isn't always a fairytale. I specifically talk about my current job, which is being an exercise writer/trainer of horses, but I feel like this topic can apply to any passion. I feel like it's super easy to get wrapped up in the idea that what you love should be your work, but I think there's more to consider than that and it doesn't always work that way for everyone! So... listen to me talk for an hour about things that I wish somebody had told me when I was considering getting into horses/YouTube/instagram/etc for work!

In this week's episode, I discuss in-depth my training ideology. I've finally reached a place, mentally, where I can analyze what happened to make me not want to work with horses & create a solution for it. Beyond that, I elaborate on this huge shift in training methodology that I feel is in the best interest of my horse as well as myself for once! I also discuss some issues in the horse world in terms of camaraderie & what we can do better.

Hi Guys! In this episode, I touch on a topic that's been weighing heavily on me for a few months now. I was undecided about what I was doing and something just didn't feel right. But, the decision was too big of an ask for me at the time, so I waited. Recently, I've been ready to answer those questions and begin to explore my thoughts. Of course, I'm talking about horse training (operantly in particular). I switched from -R to +R last year and it had crazy incredible impacts on my relationship with Zoë. But, I do think that it's time to give something else a try & see where we can go. I'm interested now in shifting my focus from which-quadrant-what-falls-under to how-does-my-horse-feel-about-this. It's a very small change in perspective and I will largely continue my work with +R, but hear me out. Givera lissen(:

This week's episode is still a bit heavy! I don't know why it seems to be such a prominent topic at the moment, but in this episode, I touch more on how to handle someone in your life with depression, how it affected my relationships, and what therapy is like. I also answered a few questions and advice inquiries from you guys!

This week's episode is a bit more serious in tone as I decided it was finally time to open up about some things that I've kept off the internet for a long time as well as a deep dive into what depression is like for me & where I've been mentally for some time now. This podcast has a bit of a heavier content load than usual, so if you are easily upset by discussions of opinions different than yours or by lower states of well-being, then maybe check back in for next week's episode!

In this week's episode, I discuss confidence in and out of the saddle. Confidence is a necessary skill to being an equestrian — yes, skill. It is something we can develop and improve through our actions. From cantering to jumping to asking for ketchup, confidence can be improved, so listen on!
