This episode I am joined by Elliott who is a lifelong equestrian and a specialist in inclusive learning and teaching in higher education. We had a fascinating conversation which explored issues and lived experiences of queer identities, neurodiversity and disability within the context of equestrianism.
We explored some of the barriers that exist to the sport and world, navigating queer identities, the importance of representation in sport and within a wider context.

EQUK Chat Episode 1 is an introduction to the vision that is Equine Qualifications UK: a social enterprise advertising company that aims to widen access to equestrian sport at a grassroots level and support those who want to build a career within the industry but lack the resources to.
In this episode, you'll find out why I care so much about this, why it's important, why it's relevant right now, and how I hope EQUK will help to fill a gap that currently exists within the sector. To build EQUK it's taken a small army, and a big part of building the brand is the graphic design.
In this episode I speak to Jorja Scott, a graphic design student and keen horse rider who has done all of the visual design work on EQUK branding, including the cover art for this podcast.
A huge thank-you and shout out as well to Dave at Bespoken Media - a podcasting production and training company who gave me lots of help getting started. I literally couldn't have done it without you - thank you for believing in the vision and for all of your help and support!
This podcast was produced on Alitu - an all in one podcasting solution that can be used by someone who had no idea what they were doing (like me). 10/10, highly recommend.

Equine Qualifications UK CIC is a not for profit organisation which aims to open the door to the equestrian industry by making it more accessible. We do this by providing an educational marketing solution for equine education providers which is cost effective and modern.
Please share this podcast with your horsey friends - particularly those who work or study within the industry, or those who want to! It in particular needs to reach those who work at educational institutes offering equestrian qualifications - so please share among your contacts in this field. (No pun intended!)
