ERAS Global Survey with Gregg Nelson and Geetu Bhandoria

In this episode of the IJGC podcast, Editor-in-Chief Dr. Pedro Ramirez, is joined by Drs. Gregg Nelson and Geetu Bhandoria to discuss the ERAS Global Survey. Their article, "Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) in gynecologic oncology: an international survey of peri-operative practice” (https://ijgc.bmj.com/content/early/2020/08/28/ijgc-2020-001683), is the Lead Article in the October 2020 of IJGC.

Dr. Gregg Nelson is Professor and Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His main research interest is the development and study of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols in cancer and ObGyn surgery. Dr. Nelson is Secretary of the ERAS Society.

Dr. Geetu Bhandoria is a Gynecologic Oncologist and obstetrician at Command Hospital in Pune, India. He as completed fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. His research interests are advanced ovarian cancer, enhanced recovery protocols and the use of social media as a research tool. He is also currently serving as one of IJGC’s Editorial Fellows.
