You've heard a lot of hiking stories this season.
Stories about mountains and storms. Wrong turns and long miles. Wildernesses that revealed things I didn't know were there.
But today, I want to tell you a different kind of story.
Because hope wasn't built on a trail.
At least not entirely.

Sometimes we fall short.
We make mistakes. We fail. We discover that we weren’t as strong, prepared, or capable as we thought we were.
Grace doesn’t pretend those moments didn’t happen. It doesn’t erase the miles behind us or call failure success. Grace meets us where we are and reminds us that failure does not have to be the end of the trail.
In this episode, we explore what it means to receive grace when we would rather prove ourselves, fix ourselves, or give up entirely.
Sometimes the Shepherd doesn’t ask us to start over.
Sometimes He simply says, “Finish your hike.”
So grab your pack and come walk for a while.

Love deeply. Possess lightly.
Stewardship doesn't mean caring less. It means caring without confusing responsibility with ownership. We can give ourselves wholeheartedly to the people and work God places before us while remembering that we are stewards, not owners. Faithfulness means doing our part and trusting God with what ultimately belongs to Him.
The episode's central question is:
What are you gripping so tightly that God only ever asked you to steward?
Within Season One's broader journey through Psalm 139:23–24, this episode continues the movement from allowing God to search and reveal our hearts toward learning to follow where He leads. It invites listeners to examine not only what they desire or how they use their influence, but also how they hold the things entrusted to them.
The invitation isn't to withdraw, become detached, or stop caring. It's to hold what God has given us with open hands, to love deeply, serve faithfully, and trust Him with the rest.

What happens when you realize God never stopped working, even when everything around you seemed to be falling apart?
After losing our home, our jobs, and much of the life we had built, I began to see power differently. God's power wasn't always found in dramatic miracles or changed circumstances. Sometimes it was found in a father and daughter, a simple act of obedience, a prayer, a kindness, or a willingness to let God work through ordinary people.
The world teaches us that power is strength, control, influence, and accomplishment. Jesus shows us something different.
Sometimes God's greatest work happens quietly, through people who are simply willing to say yes.
The wilderness had stripped away much of what I thought made me strong. Now I was beginning to discover what God could do through what remained.

Saul needed Ananias. Ananias needed to trust God. And both had to step beyond fear.
In this episode, we explore trust, isolation, vulnerability, and the people God places in our lives. Sometimes the wilderness reveals the wound, but healing happens when we stop carrying it alone.
Sometimes God's answer doesn't arrive as a solution. Sometimes it arrives as a person.
Different wilderness. Same question: Can you trust God enough to let someone help you?
