It's been quite a while since we've had a guest on from the Toledo Lucas County Public Library. We won't catch up on years of things we may have missed; we'll just start back in January, and move through a very busy year of ways to access, visit and participate in TLCPL happenings, including Romance Con!
First, you shouldn't be surprised it's all country, and let me change UNLIKELY to VERY POSSIBLE.

Good timing to have the new mayor of Sylvania on as just last week, the city released the vision and details for the downtown retrofit, as Mark Frye is calling it.
The former council President, and now mayor after long time leader Craig Stough stepped down, also talk about the 23/Monroe interchange rebuild - which involves bats - turning lights out in rooms you're not in and why in the world there's so little drama in Sylvania compared to the other 3 big area municipalities.

A visit from Joe and Kendall Linnenkugel to get you out for Battle of the Badges, a charity hockey game before TFRD and TPD on March 8th before the Walleye game.
TFRD is trying to disrupt TPD dominance on the ice, and meanwhile you'll be able to see a locker of Kendall's created for Imagination Station's new main exhibit called HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever.
Kendall on what she's seen from the Walleye this season, and why this year's playoff run could be different. And Joe's expertise on area fire station employment practices as volunteer forces continue to become a relic.

An event that kicks off a string of later winter/early spring festivities is just a few weeks away. A couple of new things, a reminder to use the shuttles and more with Scott Hayes from Project I Am, then some time and music from the Amelia Airharts.

Not a station contest, but a raffle with my friend Laura from Courageous Community Services. If you won, I'm sure you wouldn't say no!
Before that, nice to see someone have compiled this list, but I think two fairly big names are missing from it. I'll present my argument.

It's been a little over a year since Cecil's been by...after Alex had held out on introducing us.
Cecil's youth oriented Empowering Minds program returns later this month. What he learned from the kids last year, and changes to this year's programming, that will run thru June.
I also wanted him to talk about the mental health aspects of the brief Tik Tok ban.
First, HIS hoarding (his word) of video game systems that I happily got him invigorated for.

Everybody's rooting for the Eagles (against the Chiefs) anyway right!? Before that, Grammy things. Thank you Gaga and the Weeknd for giving us something that isn't girl pop - which is fine, but it's ubiquitous.
Yes, you may have recalled I AM from Northeast Philadelphia.
