  • Work That Matters? LOL

There's a local family that REALLY could've benefitted from the traffic cams.

    Clean up your neighborhood.

Work that matters. At this place? I'll listen, but c'mon.

    Everyone gets a medal!?

Lots of other things to get into this weekend in addition to Jeepfest.

  • Another City Council Hopeful Joins

I wish I could've seen the look on my face a couple weeks ago when I saw a certain name on the list of Toledoans aiming for an at large seat on council.

Our coworker?! The 130db sports fanatic?!

Yep. James Kushlan. He's got four tenets he's aspiring to run on during his campaign. I think you'll like them, and at the very least, find them admirable.

Oh, and the Tigers are ALMOST back.

    And some Ind(Guard)ians talk too.

  • Win A Jeep From Buckeye

A couple weeks ago in the Blade I saw that BCAN produced a Jeep documentary to build the hype for Jeep Fest.

The host and producer of that doc was my old friend Eric Oblander.

You may recall his visits with us to talk about his music show Rise Up.

Eric's awe inspiring tour of the Jeep plant.

How to win a Jeep from Buckeye this weekend.

What was going on with Rise Up during COVID times.

And other cool stories from 419 By Design, Eric's show featuring builders, creators and artisans in the area.

Noelle, at roughly 8lbs, is almost here. Or there. In Philly.

    Streets ARE getting repaved.

TSA has some rare open slots for students. Particularly for 6th graders.

The problems then, are still the same. It's frustrating.

    A real RACE for mayor.

Christmas in July is almost over.

There's now a pretty troubling food desert on Woodville Rd.

  • Friend In Recovery Visits

My friend Katie Heltman, who I originally met years ago through Team Recovery, is back, for what's become her annual you visit. We're not going to do the long version of Katie's addiction battle (Google is failing me in finding those episodes!), but Katie's life and relationships were devastated by dope. Now, she's about to be a mom for the second time!

After that, a quick visit with Sabriyah Davis, a TSA alum, who created Destination Picnic.

First, making sure we're clear that my mom's (in heaven) grandchild is not coming from me! Also, yea, I've considered running for city council. Too many skeletons and too much stress from all that. And well done by Chief Kral and TPD in a terrible situation. I also want to throw out a terrible macabre suggestion if you ever find yourself on the brink of death.
