As the founder of the niche publishing brand YMC.ca, and digital agency Ehm & Co, Erica has deep experience creating content and community. Under Erica’s leadership, her companies have earned a dozen prestigious marketing and publishing awards. Her business became so impactful, the owners of Toys ‘R Us purchased her companies in 2022.  Erica is staying on with the organization as Chief Innovation Officer. 

In 2021, she launched the Inside>Out Initiative, a not-for-profit to empower youth. She also collaborated on the launch of the successful ‘It Doesn’t Have to Hurt’ initiative, a science-media partnership designed to bring evidence-based information about children’s pain to parents.

Her remarkable ability to reinvent, influence, and lead is chronicled in her eagerly anticipated book Bold Face, and shared in her new podcast: Reinvention of the VJ:  She gets personal with other MuchMusic personalities and explores the challenges of reinvention with entertaining anecdotes and useful insights to inspire you to face the next chapter of your life.

Her collaborations with research scientists to mobilize knowledge are considered ground-breaking.  For Erica, community building and kindness is just what our world needs in this era of addressing loneliness and isolation, craving belonging and connection.  Erica has built a multimedia portfolio that includes credits as an author, songwriter, journalist, host/MC, and keynote speaker.

If that weren’t enough, she also played a starring role in Sean Menard’s groundbreaking documentary, “299 Queen Street West.” And now, the legendary Erica Ehm is joining Canadian rock band “Glass Tiger” as their opening act, in a multi-city tour all across the country!
