When someone goes missing Birdie meets the town's sheriff, Roger McCormick, who is also Zach's Dad. We learn that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

After her encounter, Birdie visits Finn's lighthouse and learns more about Erie's paranormal past. 

Birdie finally meets Finn in person at the Erie Fair where she also meets the creature.

Birdie visits the towns mechanic, Amos, who fills her in on some details of what he saw...with a warning. 

Birdie meets her fellow faculty and students and hears about some recent sightings...that might be real.

Birdie Ludlow leaves the big city to take a teaching position in a small, strange town in the Pacific Northwest full of even stranger towns folk who warn Birdie of the school's curfew.
