Hear from Erik Zydervelt on his founder journey launching and growing Mevo, New Zealand's first electric vehicle and the world's first climate positive car share. Erik is a creative, pragmatic, big picture focused environmental change maker. He’s passionate about savvy business driving environmental, social, and economic regeneration. Specifically, through high impact, scalable urban liveability projects that deliver a better future today. This lead to the founding of Mevo. 

Erik has received multiple awards both locally and internationally in recognition of this work. His background is in international corporate strategy, conservation, and research, which leads to data-driven decision making. Erik is a proud Victoria University of Wellington alum and enjoys exploring both cities and wilderness in his spare time.  

mevo is helping create beautiful & more livable cities by offering a better alternative to private car ownership.   

Research shows that each mevo replaces over 10 private cars, and encourages a behavioural shift towards multi-modal, sustainable transport which complements public and active forms of transport.
