Here we are in May.
The Final Shape approaches.
Give me some cool stuff?

We've got a mix of updates to discuss this week, what with new exotic chest armour previews dropping during the week, as well as our old friend Khvostov having a wild glow up. Yes, THAT Khvostov.

It's storied ECB lore at this point that we like to dunk on Hunters, none more so than Cayde-6 himself. With the impending reintroduction of Cayde to the world of Destiny, we've had a lot more reason to throw a bit of friendly bullying their way. This episode, we're spending a bit of time truly unpacking that situation, thanks to a great question from a viewer on a recent episode. Find out if we actually mean any of it within this episode!

We are truly in an era of Destiny 2 where old things are new again. In the same week that players can once again attain the Superblack shader, we got some surprising updates regarding legacy gear that a lot of people put in the bin. I won't spoil the details for you in this description box, so check out the episode to hear more about all that, as well as more reports on our adventures in Onslaught.

Into The Light is here Guardians, and we are... into it! There's a bunch of new shiny toys to chase after, there's a fun new game to play with friends, and it's all very exciting.

Alright, we legitimately tried to record in person last week, but we were too tired and full of tacos, so we're back this week to recap the first 2 out of 3 planned Bungie livestreams detailing what's coming soon with Into The Light! We also have stories about hanging out in person. This Into The Light thing seems like it might be good?

Another week of Guardian Games down, another week of hoarding Hullabaloos and me struggling to type Hullabaloo correctly the first time. We're reminded this week that "Into The Light" is what's coming soon to fill the months of April and May, in the lead up to The Final Shape's release in early June, and we've got what little information is available about it to share with you. Bullying each other for builds continues this week (and shows no signs of stopping).

After a couple of weeks away exploring some mountains and lakes of Aotearoa New Zealand, chillybin has returned to catch up on what he's missed in the world of Destiny, and there might actually be things to get caught up on? We've got the latest iteration of Guardian Games upon us this week, we've got ALL NEW VEHICLE TYPE in the Skimmer (read: hoverboard), and we've got...uh kind of not a lot else. Never fear though Guardian, we continue to find the fun in talking about old buildcrafting habits and things we used to get up to.

We've reached the halfway point with Riven's Wishes and we're nearing the end for Moments of Triumph. We've done...some of it? Most of it? Your mileage may vary, especially if you're trying to get specific Altars of Summoning runs together for one triumph like Meckii. Tune in and hear all about that this week, as well as more general ramblings about our raiding days of yore.

We're well and truly into the first parts of what will fill our time before The Final Shape eventually launches and we've actually done some of it! Mostly Moments of Triumph, but some progress has been made towards granting Riven's Wishes (or are we making the wishes? I'm not sure). We also reminisced a lot about our time with Joe Blackburn at the helm of the franchise and how the game and his presence helped us get through lockdowns and loneliness together. Bless that man.
