He was an American film, radio and television actor whose credits included more than 50 feature films, a half-dozen mostly short-lived TV series, and dozens of television guest appearances. Merrill starred in the motion picture All About Eve and in his personal life was married his co-star Bette Davis.  Also in the cast of this episode are William Conrad, Ben Wright and Tony Barrett.
