The education system can sometimes be greedy by forcing us to solely focus on doing work; it sometimes leaves us with no energy or time to do stuff that we actually find meaningful, such as creating new connections with people or spending time with our loved ones. Sometimes, we are too drained to even exercise or eat healthy. The system forces us to solely focus on them and we are trained to believe that success is only found after passing through all these levels of education and earning enough money to survive. I'm sorry, but I'm too tired to only focus on the future and I want to actually start living in the PRESENT. Life is too short to focus only on getting a "successful" future and forgetting about the time we are living at this moment. Instead of trying to find what we're passionate about, we are left doing homework and memorizing physics laws. There needs to be a revolution where people don't have to worry about trying to survive in a system that only rewards people for living in the future and contributing to society by working for the rich (who actually fund these universities and want to make us into wage slaves for their companies). I don't want to have to waste my life trying to survive. America has the opportunity to provide us with the resources to our basic rights (shelter, food, medicine); more people would spend more time actually doing something meaningful to society and fulfilling their purpose if they had these rights provided to them, but no, we are instead taken away these rights and have to earn them by working a 9-5 hour job that we hate. I am a mulit-passionate being and I don't want to limit myself to one thing for the rest of my life. We deserve the opportunity to do what is meaningful to us and still have the ability to survive. Everyone has something unique to give to society, but school sometimes drains our natural creativity and we are isolated from our true passions.
