It's the holiday season & to help get into the spirit we're switching gears for another BONUS episode of Escaping Reality. We're pausing on Survivor for a hot second to watch Food Network's Holiday Baking Championship.

This episode we're talking all about our own holiday preferences and traditions, how this style of competition show differs from others (specifically Survivor), and our takes on the show's host and judges.

We're back with another episode of Escaping Reality covering our binge-watch of Survivor & the first time we have spent at least 10 minutes drooling over the location. In discussion of Survivor: China, the team is getting their passports ready to rush to China when we can finally travel safely again (post-COVID). 

The season was a doozy, so we're breaking it all down for you. Despite our collective appreciation for the season, we still found a way to have some disagreements. Typical. China is the perfect backdrop for our long, in depth conversation. 

We're diving into culture as theme, the validity of throwing a challenge as "strategy," and why Courtney had a chance at the title of Sole Survivor. Plus, closing out the episode with our (dis)honorable mention and rapid fire (mostly about the players and Jeff, because obviously).

We're back with another episode of Escaping Reality covering our binge-watch of Survivor & it's our most chaotic yet. In discussion of Survivor: Fiji, the team is heated, and, honestly, we feel it's a reflection of the season giving us conflicting emotions. 

The season was stressful, so we're stressed too. Despite our apprehension, there is still much to be talked about. Fiji has an overall vibe of production trying exceptionally hard to make it a strong season but the castaways not living up to it. 

We're diving into toxic male personas, jury behaviors, the Yau-Man/Dreamz debacle, and the absurdity that came along with the initial twist. Plus, closing out the episode with our honorable mention and rapid fire (which, tbh, are not so rapid this time).

It's the 13th season of Survivor and this is basically an Ozzy stan account/podcast now. The team is discussing the idea of race and diverse casting, the worthiness of Ozzy and Yul for being at final tribal, the effect of Penner's mutiny, and the savage turn of Jeff's commentary. 

In this episode we dive into the concept of loyalty, who played a better social game - Ozzy or Yul, and why this season was so successful. We're back talking about Survivor season 12: Panama: Exile Island ! The team is a little split in our feelings on this one, but, as always, we're filling a whole episode with our thoughts regardless of where the season falls in our individual rankings. 

This season is full of comedic gold, and we sure did have a laugh remembering it. We're diving into better alternatives to Exile Island, the rules & regulations of hidden immunity idols, and one of the most boring final tribals ever. 

We're musing on medical emergencies, challenges we think we could win, and Survivor's love for giving away a big glass of milk at rewards. Plus, Anna's on the defense for Shane & Cirie is an inspiration to couch potatoes everywhere.

It's the 11th season of Survivor and we're also confused about what happened. The team is feeling some sort of way about how long you keep returning players, Danni's "strategy," and the problematic nature of eating sacramental chicken.
