Escaping Society

We begin an exploration of “tracking” with some stories about what tracking means to us and how we got started. Is “literacy” just the ability to read the books we create, or awakening to the stories that all natives learn to hear and read?

We discuss violence- How far our culture has been willing to go to inflict it on others, how our government uses it to control it’s own populace, how we’re taught to abhor it while we benefit daily from (and become increasingly dependent on) it’s spoils, and how this contrasts with native, non-empirical views on violence. Let’s question who claims this monopoly on violence and how they use it.

We take turns reading the brilliant essay “The Boiling Frog” from Daniel Quinn’s book, “The Story Of B”, throwing our own inebriated two cents in as we go.

Some tips we’ve picked up (and a couple we haven’t tried yet!) on cooking outside without the modern trappings of a kitchen. Heat... food... everything else is just flourish!

We indulge in a little psychological Spring cleaning, cathartic anger management, by getting some “f$ck you’s” out of our system. The great thing about not getting paid for these is we don’t have to give a damn who listens to this string of profanities. We hope something here offends you and, if not, well, F#@K YOU!
