Eskom is taking City Power to court to force the entity to pay an over R1-billion debt. Eskom says City Power started defaulting on its payments since October 2023 and no payment was received for the March 2024 invoice. Eskom says the debt owed has reached unprecedented levels and further exacerbates Eskom's already strained financial situation.
